Ordering & Payment:
Is the item in stock?
Dark Music Domain does things differently from other music retailers. For starters, we do not sell what we do not have in stock! Most people are used to placing an order with a record label or music retailer, but not knowing how many of those items are actually in stock until the order arrives on their doorstep. We do not do things that way. If you see a price for the item in the catalog, that means that the item is in stock! If the item is not available, the price will have been replaced with one of the following comments:

"Coming Soon!"
= The item has not arrived in stock yet.
•
"Temp. Out of Stock"
= The item has sold out, but we intend to restock it as soon as possible.
•
"Deleted"
= The item has sold out and we will not be restocking it.
Although we are quick to delete or remove items that have sold out, we do occasionally make mistakes and find, while picking your order, that an item is actually not in stock after all. We hate to inconvenience our customers this way, and although we cannot travel back in time and fix the mistake, we do like to offer some consolation. If you have placed an order and we found that one of the items was actually out of stock, we will either refund your money for that item or offer you another item (in its place) valued up to $5.00 over the item you originally paid for - the choice is yours! (Example: If you order a CD priced at $14.99 and it is found to be out of stock after you have submitted payment, you can choose another CD up to $19.99! Or we can just refund the money, if you like.)
Ordering:
The Dark Music Domain catalog is currently outfitted with a PayPal shopping cart system. PayPal and credit card users need only add items to their shopping cart, add the cost of shipping (after all items are added to the cart), and then proceed with checkout for their respective payment methods (both processed by PayPal). Customers paying with cash or money order should email us at info@DarkMusicDomain.com with a list of desired items and the destination country (for the order), and then we will email you the total amount due, where to send payment, and who to make out the payment to (in the case of money orders).
Holds: With rare exceptions, we no
longer "hold" items for customers. Holds can be difficult to keep track of, and
people tend to take a very casual
attitude with held items and payment for them, often manifesting as never paying
for the item or even replying to email inquiries.
Preorders: With rare exceptions, we
do not accept preorders. In the case of some items which are extremely limited
or abnormally expensive, we will
ask for preorders (payment in full) or down
payments (partial payment) before placing our merchandise order with the label
or distributor. We do not do
this often, and we do it to limit excess inventory.
Payments:
Credit card users can now easily pay with their credit card through PayPal, even if they are not PayPal members! (This was not always possible, but it is now!)
