The catalog has been reupdated to include the low-priced items coming in late August / early September (which currently appear only as blank entries in the catalog), as well as more Melek-Tha information! Album cover artwork has been added for "Left Hand Path" (no box set photos yet), "Voices from the Dead," and "Voodou," which was previously unannounced. We now have a catalog entry and album artwork for "Voodou," which is a collaborative effort including Melek-Tha, Xa-Mul, Horth, and Irrumatorium! ... Just search "melek" in the catalog to find all Melek-Tha releases!
We are still taking pre-orders for the upcoming Melek-Tha items! Please read the August 8th news entry (and the newsletter linked within) for more information on those. Be forewarned: Pre-orders can close at any time! At the absolute latest, we will be wrapping these up during the first week of September.

The 6th volume in the H.P. Lovecraft series - Frostmoon Eclipse's "I Am Providence" (ltd.100) - has arrived but is not available for sale through the catalog yet. For those of you who have avoided the metal releases in this tribute series, note that Frostmoon Eclipse's contribution is largely softer acoustic - not the noisy metal you might assume. Well worth your time!

On a slightly unrelated note, fans of great American horror author H.P. Lovecraft - and especially his famous creature, Cthulhu - should note that Dark Music Domain will soon be receiving a replenishment order of Cthulhu statues from artist/sculptor Corinne Crowe. We have seen some pre-finished photos of the statues, and in addition to the standard green/black coloration, we will also receive some with red/black and blue/black colorations! Lovecraft and his infamous creature, Cthulhu, will may be interested to know that Dark Music Domain has finally received a restock shipment of "Cthulhu" statues, created by artist Corinne Crowe. The catalog update is in progress and new statues are not yet visible. We recommend that you keep a close eye on the site; once the new statues are available for sale, they may not last for long! Though the standard version of the statue is one cast in green and black swirls of resin with an added metallic gold element, we have received several "deviant" statues cast in other colors! Down payments are still being accepted through the end of the month for Melek-Tha's "H.P. Lovecraft" series (3 volumes between 2 releases; 6 CDs). Pictures of this set are in the previous news entry (below). Do not miss out!
We are still grappling with technical issues. Emails are being answered, orders are being shipped out promptly, but getting the new arrivals and incoming merchandise into the catalog is a slow process. We are still waiting for Bone Structure (Belgium) to ship numerous releases from two different merchandise orders, mostly from the "Pseudomonarchia Daemonium" series. We were told that the merchandise would ship out before the end of January. Now that isn't going to happen. It's February now. While release date delays are an everyday thing when it comes to the music industry, this is all the more reason to deal with Dark Music Domain, rather than ordering from some of the more obscure record labels. And this is also why we don't normally do preorders.

All technical problems have been resolved. Orders were shipped out during this time. Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day - a national holiday - so the United States Postal Service is not in operation today, and orders will resume shipping tomorrow.
Many of the releases on the "Coming Soon" page have not arrived yet because we have experienced a shipping delay with the Bone Structure label. We are anticipating shipment before the end of the month. Why shipping was delayed for such a long time, we do not know.
Below are two pictures of various parts of Melek-Tha's "H.P. Lovecraft" series (3 volumes between 2 releases; 6 CDs). Melek-Tha has agreed to hold a few more copies of the complete set for any Dark Music Domain customers who might be motivated to purchase the set now that pictures are available to drool over! (Right-click and download to your own computer to view the full size of the images!) The same terms apply. To guarantee that you actually get a copy of the complete set, we do need a $50 down payment. We still don't have a final retail price, but we do expect the complete set to cost approximately $100. Regarding "Alien Emperor Eternal" in particular, we will ONLY purchase copies for customers who made the down payment, as well as copies to match up to our remaining copies of the "War of the Worlds" Trilogy that it goes with. We know they're expensive; it's the artist's prerogative.
There are auctions up on eBay right now. Some are catalog items, one is not, others are slightly damaged copies of catalog items. We recommend that you take advantage of the discounts on those damaged items! The catalog has been updated! Some out of stock and/or deleted items have been removed. All of the coming items (see the Coming Soon page) have been added to the catalog, including some pending and tentative arrivals. Several of these come from Melek-Tha, whose most recent works have been pushed back to release dates in January 2008. Scroll through the Melek-Tha releases in the catalog. Any without cover art images are the pending releases, including the "H.P. Lovecraft" set (6 CDs), "Left Hand Path" (split with Nazxul, wooden box set, 2CDs), and "Alien Emperor Eternal" (metal box set, 3 CDs), which is the final chapter in the Kelemath history, after the "War of the Worlds" trilogy. ... V/A: Endzeit Bunkertracks Act 3 (4CD box set) is coming very soon! Please note that Act 2 was accidentally deleted from the catalog but is still available! It will be re-added in January.

More Cthulhu statues will be arriving early next year. (Click on "Cthulhu Statues" in the menu on the left.) Artist Corinne Crowe has been experimenting with other color combinations. Instead of the swirls of green and black resin with added gold element, she has tried blue and black with silver! And there are ongoing experiments with a glow-in-the-dark material that she has cast within the resin itself. Only 4 statues are currently still available, including 3 of deviant coloration (different from the pattern described by Lovecraft himself).

The following items are now available for sale! All are dark electro / industrial, except for Objekt 4's "Shades of Night," which is dark ambient. The Agonoize and BlutEngel box sets are sold out almost everywhere now. Many retailers sold out of Agonoize in pre-orders alone. The item price in the catalog includes the cost of shipping these box sets - don't be fooled by labels and retailers who offer low prices but high cost of shipping! That's how they make up for the diminished profit margin. And at least Dark Music Domain will pad and protect your item before mailing it. The most popular record labels in the scene ought to at least be able to afford a roll of bubblewrap now and then, but your orders still arrive in USED packaging? Cracked jewel cases, smashed box sets, dislodged discs - how long are you going to put up with that?

The audio page is now UP! After endless problems with Blogger, we have now sidestepped it completely. Yes, it's true, the news and audio pages (and others too) are simple HTML. No funky drop-down menus, no Flash animation, and you know what else? No problems either! Once Google acquired Blogger, there were several pages of the DMD site that could never be updated with Blogger again, and requests to fix the bugs fell on deaf ears.
In any case, the audio page has been updated as well. Numerous releases, long since sold out, have been removed from that page. And clips in MP3 format from the following 4 releases have been added! Stream them directly, or right-click to download to your computer. Take a few minutes to listen to the clips, and hopefully you'll be as impressed with these releases as we were!

There are currently 45 auctions on eBay, ending in less than 5 days. The majority of these CDs are regular DMD catalog items, but the starting bids are less than their respective catalog prices - some by several dollars! Other items are rarities, etc., such as Agonoize's "Paranoid Destruction" EP, Habeeb's dark ambient "Il Cancello Della Morte" (out of print, rare, Steel Hook Prosthesis side-project), Bestia Centauri's "The Self Immolation Rite" (out of print), albums from Psyche and Umbra Et Imago, and the "Newer Wave" compilation, which features 80's cover songs by electro/industrial projects. That compilation also features Assemblage 23's cover of A Flock Of Seagulls' hit song, "I Ran." Must be heard!

Previously listed as "coming soon" (see previous news entry), releases from BlutEngel, Dawn of Ashes, Heimataerde, and Objekt 4 have arrived and will be available through the catalog soon. Only one copy of Agonoize's "999" (2CD) arrived, so it is currently on eBay. If you missed out on the digipack version, Out Of Line has re-released it - cheaper but not that much cheaper!
NOthingness REcords has reported problems with the releases by :36: and Ashtorath. :36: will not be arriving in the near future. Whether or not Ashtorath will be coming soon will be known in a few days. An order including releases by Descent Into The Void, Taphephobia, and Temperature Within/LovePowerExperiment (split), and Grívf (album: "Sortenlund") will be finalized and shipped soon.
An order for the Melek-Tha releases has not been completed yet. Due to the inconsistency with which fans purchase the various parts of a multi-volume release, Melek-Tha's "H.P. Lovecraft" releases (3 volumes in 2 releases) will likely be sold strictly as a package deal - not sold separately. Dark Music Domain ended up with leftovers from Melek-Tha's other multi-volume releases because of people who purchased one or more volumes, but not all of them. ... Previously unannounced here is another box set item from Melek-Tha. If ordered by Dark Music Domain for the catalog, only pre-orders will be accepted. No one in the scene - not even the most successful of record labels - can afford to stock items that most customers shun as costly. The box set is as follows. Serious fans and collectors should announce their interest to info@DarkMusicDomain.com. Once cost is determined, pre-order payments will be requested.
